Wine Lover, Today's Wine of the Day: De Loach 2010 Pinot Noir, Heritage Reserve, California

Why I chose this wine: The De Loach Heritage Reserve Pinot is an elegant and perfumed Pinot Noir. We quickly sold out of it in June so I'm delighted to have it back for our Pinot fans. You may know De Loach Vineyards for producing first class Pinots from their winery in the Russian River Valley. In fact, one of their reserve Pinots was previously THE #1 wine of the year! Today, someone who knows a thing or two about Pinot Noir, dynamic Burgundy producer Jean-Charles Boisset leads the charge, having purchased the estate in 2003. This wine is their best value selection. It shows a silky mouthfeel and pretty flavors of raspberry and cherry jam, orange zest, vanilla, cinnamon and sandalwood. Easily one of the best Pinots on the market at this price! -- Josh
Case Price: $12.70/Bottle
